A sports nutrition, garment and accessories brand dedicated to scientific and medically approved products to aide elite sports men and women.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintaining vital communication channels with makers and suppliers

• Design product ranges using a combination of hand drawn concepts, CAD and material, fabric and sample selection.

• Create detailed specifications for the new range.

• Participate in design, sales, marketing and advertising meetings

• Artwork for all aspects of company including new logo identities, garment artwork etc.

• Research any new technologies pertaining to garments and print methods.

A surfing garment, hardware and accessories brand with over 30 retail stores and a selling extension into Myer Australia and other surf stores.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Interpret design comments and sit in on fittings to facilitate comments and add to product specification pages.

• Responsible for best possible target margin and negotiate costing, surcharges, mould charges, set up fee's etc

• Stay up to date with manufacturing industry standards

• Maintain written LXS for fabric, colour, cost price, neg sell, minimums, lead times, vendor, delivery dates, descriptions etc

• Conceptualise ranges through research both on the internet and first hand, travel to locations and stores for field research, stay up to date with market trends and competitors products.

• Test products - surfing, trekking, all round travelling. Refine the range by consulting with sales team, marketing department and other designers

• Design the range using a combination of hand drawn concepts, CAD and material, fabric and sample selection.

• Create detailed specifications for the new range. Specs would mostly be sent to Hong Kong, so detail was key in receiving back a prototype as close to the original design.

• Consult, negotiate and finalise the pricing of the new products, utilising a margin, freight and using EXCEL to create an appropriate quote from makers and ultimately a RRP

• Participate in design, sales, marketing and advertising meetings
